As many of you know, Third Kingdom is entering its final month of service, with our last day set for Sunday, March 29. These last weeks are an opportunity to gather, celebrate, and honor what this restaurant has meant to all of us.
On Monday, March 16, we invite you to join us for one of the last dinners in our Rare Mushroom Series: an immersive five-course experience devoted entirely to wild black morels.
For a few electric weeks in early spring, black morels push through leaf litter and loamy soil - honeycombed, hollow, and unmistakable to those who know what they’re looking for. Wild and weather-dependent, they appear in brief flushes, shaped by rain and sun, then disappear just as suddenly.
Prized for their deeply savory character and woodsy perfume, black morels offer a richness that feels both rustic and refined. Chef Juan will craft a menu that explores the morel’s nutty depth, earthy complexity, and unmistakable springtime intensity.
Like the morel itself, this season is brief. We hope you’ll join us for it.
